Privacy

The short version: we collect nothing we do not need. No cookies, no tracking. The only data we process is what you send us yourself through a form.

Who processes the data

cimbal.sk is a private project. For anything concerning your data, reach us at [email protected].

The “Add a directory listing” form

When you request a listing we process the details you provide (name, area of activity, website, contact e-mail, description) in order to assess and publish the listing and to communicate with you. The legal basis is the performance of the arrangement you are requesting (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We publish only the details of your activity (name, location, website, description), the contact e-mail is not published. You may ask for the listing to be removed at any time at [email protected].

Cookies and analytics

The site sets no cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner. We measure traffic with Plausible, run on our own server (analytics.cimbal.sk): it works without cookies, stores no personal data or IP addresses, and does not track you across sites. We see only aggregate numbers, such as how many people visited a page. We use no third-party advertising systems.

Technical logs

The server keeps short-lived operational records (IP address, time, URL) to keep the service secure and stable. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For links to the websites of listed businesses we count clicks, without IP addresses and without any link to an individual visitor.

Where the data sits and who helps us

Data is stored in our own database on a server in the European Union. The site is served through the Cloudflare network (attack protection and content delivery), which technically processes visitors' IP addresses when relaying the connection.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access to your data, and to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection; you may withdraw consent at any time. Just write to [email protected]. If you believe we are handling your data incorrectly, you may contact the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (dataprotection.gov.sk).

This is a translation for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Slovak version prevails.
